The space
You can choose to use the full kitchen, BBQ or take advantage of the many restaurants in Byron Bay.
The lounge area leads to an undercover outdoor area, perfect for pre-dinner drinks or to catch the morning sun, listening to the sounds of the ocean while you relax on the daybed on the sun drenched deck.

A space is also available for you to work from home.
An easy 5 minute walk through the beautiful Arakwal National Park to Tallow Beach or a 15-20 minute flat walk to boutiques, cafes and restaurants in the heart of Byron Bay.
After a day at the beach, wash off under the newly installed outdoor shower.
We are 30 minutes drive from Ballina Airport, 50 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport or just under 2 hours drive from Brisbane.

Guests have access to the entire studio.

We live in a residential area and guests must be mindful of noise and disturbing neighbours at all times, especially between 8pm and 8am.
Please ensure you park in front of the white gate at all times.

We had a lovely stay at Driftwood by the Bay in Byron. The space was clean and comfortable, and Meg was great. It’s an extension of the house next door where the owner lives but it’s very private with its own entrance. We could hear footsteps from upstairs but it didn’t really bother us. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we come back.

The unit is so close to Tallows beach, about a 5-10 minute walk away, the hammock is perfect for relaxing and the amenities were easy to use for cooking. Similar to another review, there is some noise from the main house upstairs, which may put some people off, but if you don’t mind that and want a location close to local shops and beaches this is great money for value.

We really enjoyed our stay at this home with our greyhound Penny, who had a ball! Tallow Beach (so close) was our favorite one in Byron and this was a lovely little home to come back to every day. Everything inside is sparkling new, VERY clean and you with all the ammenities you could possibly need. Meg was very friendly, respectful and made herself available if at all times. The only thing that maybe would bother some is that the house is right next to (and underneath) the bigger main house and paper thin walls so we could hear lots of noise and steps above us at times. That being said, we would highly recommend staying, specially during this time of year.
